Suggestions for stocking? (Please reply!)

So, I will have a leftover 3 gallon once I upgrade my boys to 2.5 gallons each (I'm not givong one the 3 gallon because I believe in fairness! It wouldn't be right if one got only 2.5 galons and one got 3.

Anyways, so, eventually, I want to get it up and running after a while of taking it down (I can't believe my parents are letting me upgrade. They must know I won't really get rid of the 3 gallon!) Anyways I don't want a normal Betta, fairness, again. Maybe a Giant? Anything. Even something that isn't a Betta! Please no planted suggestions. I want fish!

Really not much can be kept in a three gallon happily except for a Betta.

You could do a nano shrimp tank. c:

Ah... I already have shrimp.

Maybe I can just find a normal betta, but a bigger one. I have always wanted a purple Betta.
