Ryu, Yuki, & fry - Breeding Couple

From the start, I had no clue what I was doing. I lacked proper food, resulting in the loss of two newly hatched fry batches. I was devastated. However, after researching, I was able to set up the perfect grow out tank.

I am so proud of Ryu's bubblenests, the biggest one was 4x6 inches - so many bubbles. ^.^ He lived with his first batch of fry and didn't eat his them; loving father. On the other hand, my female would lay random batches of eggs.. and eat them. Nom nom.

Ryu had his last batch of babies on Oct 1, 2011 before he passed, which hatched on the 3rd. I'm so glad these fry are thriving, now 10 days old and match the growth chart. I'm feeding them Hikari bites and mircoworms for their diet.

So cute.. and handsome father.. sorry to hear you lost him. I see something on his head.. is that his coloring? If so, that's unique =)
They are going to be very beautiful bettas!

looks like coloring, he might have been starting ti marble before he passed. He was lovely, sorry for your loss. Hopefully some of the fry will look like him and you'll have a new boy to keep.

hey cute fry with patience you will see them grow up big i once tried my self one lived to almost be full grown he even had a huge pretty tail they will be real unique and pretty =)

I'm starting to worry how their tail types will turn out, since they're not the same tail type parents..

With my new halfmoon male, should I definitely have a halfmoon female?
