The second one looks female for sure. Looks like she's just got some longer fins. I've been seeing quite a few females with longer fins now, so I'm wondering if it's a breeding project for one of the pet store sellers.

My female VTs have no fins compared to these two lol I would say male for the first, the second Im iffy on lol

Hmm weird. I've never seen nor had males with those unless they are very young.

Second girl (the teal/blue) just had a lil freak out and flared at the cambodian. She is still barred up. When she flared I saw the gills puff out but no beard. When the cambo flared I saw what looked like a beard. Here's hoping Lapis is truly a girl.

Some girls do have visible beards. My marble, Sabino, has a clear beard with red stripe on each side. I think females have beards too, just smaller ones.

Females also flare differently. Males will flare and then turn to the side to look bigger; females flare straight ahead.

Hehe yeah my females do that :p My Zebra did that because Rose was being "a little sister" annoying... which surprised me
