Picked up a new guy yesterday (the big box petstores where I live get some really out-there color combos): a copper, black, and orange (what I think is a) delta.
The unexpected part, though, is that as he swims around, the copper parts of his body change to a teal/turquoise green or light lavender depending on how the light hits his scales and the angle at which he is swimming. It's a very cool effect!
Does this happen with all coppers or metallics? I've never seen it mentioned and it came as a huge (but awesome) suprise!
Hopefully I'll be able to take some pics later on to show off my three handsome guys!
