Do I have to QT snails?

Do I have to QT snails? They were in their own tank, I don't think there were any fish. Do I need to QT them?

I would, and always do. While they cannot be affected by some diseases (like ich), along with shrimp in the same manner, they can harbor diseases.

I would keep them in an appropriate QT with a good diet and frequent (enough) water changes, but dont go over board. Proper acclimation is important for inverts, too, and should be done similarly to how bettas do it.

Yup. I have my shrimp in a QT bowl, I give them Algea Wafers and stuff, and acclimated them by floating them and then adding the water over a few hours.

But, even if I QT them, then put them in, won't the Ich still be present? How can I make sure it is gone? Should I treat the water? Wash their shells?

Nonono, especially since most of the medicines that rid of ich will kill the snails (esp. copper).

Without a host (a proper host), the ich will die, or so it should. What you really need is just time, the longer the better, that way the chance of them still having anything will be much less.

Ich's life cycle is two weeks long. If the snails are in the QT for at least that long, the ich, if any were present, would be dead.

What about anything else? I want to get Yori into his new warm home with my Bettas and Toma into his large established home with my Goldfish.

Like any other diseases that could be on their shells. Not just Ich.
