What tank mates does your betta fish live with? 7 other female bettas, 2 golden apple snails and 6 (maybe as few as 4) ghost shrimp

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish? frozen bloodworms, occasionally brine shrimp or pellets
How often do you feed your betta fish? twice a day

Maintenance
How often do you perform a water change? once a week
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change? 10%
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change? Stress coat or prime. Flourish plant food

Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters?

Not sure of the levels, lots of live plants, so good ammonia levels. Low Ph, was about 6.4 last time it was tested, very hard water, and low KH.

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? a discoloured patch, it looked almost... uh like something was coming off her.
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? hasn't
When did you start noticing the symptoms? just now
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? put in QT and floating in the tank
Does your fish have any history of being ill? not that I know of
How old is your fish (approximately)? spawned in January.


I've QTed her as soon as I saw her. I had a major panic moment worried it was cottony. Hoping it's just missing scales. She is my alpha, and a bully. She has a piece out of her anal fin. I don't know if she got hurt, maybe missing a few scales or has some slime coat coming off. She does like to sleep inside the mouth of my dragon statue, so I don't know if it's from rubbing against the teeth as she wiggled in and out. Included pics, hopefully I'm panicking for nothing.

well, if it is missing scales, could be from having a bit of a problem with the others (my bully female has never been touched by the others, because she WILL win ><), or yeah the statue she likes to sleep in.

I am the ultimate worrier. I can diagnose anothers fish with little concern, but my own? end of the world crisis!
