Been lurking the forums for awhile, but not sure if I ever posted much.

Picked this guy up at petco today for my lonely 5.5g.

Water still a little cloudy because I just added some rocks. I call him Dragon.

I also have 3 saltwater fish but light is out so can't get a picture of them right now.

Moonshine is very pretty, I am partial to any betta with white or pastel colors on it. That is what drew me to Dragon.

I'm not sure how to get him to flare, haha. He just looks at me like, "what?"

First fish I've had that wasn't a total pig. He would chase his pellets but didn't eat them but I was able to get him to eat frozen blood worms. After which he tried to eat a plant! He seems a bit confused about food. Otherwise acts/looks healthy.. very active swimming in his tank. So hopefully he is just being weird.

While they aren't bettas, here are some pics of my other little guys (sorry for the bad quality, once you get near the tank they go crazy "FOOD! FOOD! FOOD!":

Spot

Flame

Coral

Beautiful fish!! Welcome to the forum! Looks like you've been doing some research, which is always nice!! And I'm sure your new little guy will settle in soon and start eating him pellets (: Don't spoil him too much with the frozen blood worms, they're not very nutritious and tend to make them bloat! Just keep offering him the pellets every day and he should take them eventually (: Again, welcome!!

Thanks for the tip, bloodworms are just for treats then.

hehe. Yeah, I love the way the scales look on dragons. I didn't even know what a dragon betta was till I saw him.
