Exclamation before and after

Hi

I saw a before and after thread awhile back, and thought i would make my own since i've been taking before and afters of a lot of my fish and fish i know.

this one i thought was crazy, got him today around 9am, and i took this picture around 2:45 pm. check the differences already!!

This is a friend of mines fish, named Seemore (he lives in an eyeglass shop!) Day 1 to the shop, about 2 weeks ago, and then just yesterday flaring at the marble named Hendrix, jimmy for short (dont have a before of jimmy tho):

Sometimes all they need is clean water to get their colors out. :)

Your new betta certainly looks likes he got comfortable. Sometimes all it takes is a little warmth. Bettas do not like being cold.

not sure about his tummy, some times is worse then others.. we just swithched his food around, he was getting flakes and worms, but the worms were dried not soaked first! ive noticed right after feedings he is rly swollen. The bottom picture he was flaring of course making it look worse.

we're keeping an eye on him, hes in a 5g filtered 80degree tank, no tank mates. we have some meds for dropsy if it doesnt get better/gets worse. He's been like this since day 1, starting to wonder if thats just how he is? he seems happy and interacts with us and everything, very happy boy.

also wondering if epsom or aquarium salt may help the belly bulge?

Epsom salt does help with the bloating. Pellets are definitely better thank flakes though.

My guy's constantly bloated. He's only not bloated after he poo's his really big poo. He doesn't seem bothered by it.
I only feel sorry I can't feed him more than 2 pellets a day. ): Seems like a meager meal to me.
