Aquarium Kits

Before I got my current aquarium for my betta I did a little research on "aquarium kits." When you buy a small tank and the filter is installed with the lighting to conseal it or its a whisper in tank filter.

Now I read a lot of folks have trouble with these saying the flow is to high. When I got mine I simply took some filter floss and plugged the exit point to reduce the strength of the flow.

What Scares me though is I also read people are seeing their bettas get sucked into the intake! O.o.

while I dont have my betta being sucked into the intake does any one else experience these problems with the mini kits that are supposedly "designed" with bettas in mind?
