Exclamation Scared

Hi guys so my two new fish Toki and Spectre have been acting strangely since I got them they are so lazy they either sit at the top or bottom of the tank not moving they swim a bit but not too much and when they do that i'm like is he dead!?!?!?! but they aren't. There tank temperature is 75-83 all the time I do 1 50% water change every week on Wednesday please help.

Hi Bettacaleb,

Could you complete the following just to help us pinpoint the issue please?

Housing
What size is your tank?
What temperature is your tank?
Does your tank have a filter?
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration?
Is your tank heated?
What tank mates does your betta fish live with?

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish?
How often do you feed your betta fish?

Maintenance

How often do you perform a water change?
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change?
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change?

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters?

Ammonia:
Nitrite:
Nitrate:
pH:
Hardness:
Alkalinity:

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed?
How has your betta fish's behavior changed?
When did you start noticing the symptoms?
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how?
Does your fish have any history of being ill?
How old is your fish (approximately)?

Yes, filling that out will help a lot.. but it sounds as if it may be temp related.
Saying that the temp is always between 75-83 is a sign that you don't have a heater, and that the temp is fluxing which can be harmful to your fish. It will cause them stress and in some cases, a form of shock. Even though the temp is "within" the semi-appropriate temp range, it would be wise to get a heater and set it for 80*F so the water won't dip below that to reduce the fluxes going on the cold side.
Are they in the same tank? And if so, what sort of decorations are in there with them?

Can't really say more without filling out that form.. can't tell if that is enough of a water change or not. Sorry!
