I have a ten gal aquarium with four guppies, four female bettas, and 3 ghost shrimp. Although it is not recommended AT ALL i introduced a male halfmoon (ithink its halfmoon) to the others by dividing it in a part of the guppies for two day and it was fine and now i have no divider and they are getting along great, with no nipped fins! Would i be able to introduce another male the same way?

Your tank is over stocked, way over stocked.. you just put your male in to die, and you are considering adding another in?

Sorry.. I'm biting my tongue right now. Just got done watching a couple disturbing vids on youtube about people who did just that.. males and females together and the males are torn to shreds and are killed. Now I came on and read this.
I'm sorry.. but please do what is right by the fish, do what every person, every book, every website, every hobbyist, every breeder, and even every pet store employee (and that actually means something lol) says.. and don't mix them like that. Don't over stock the tank.
The only ones who have done it successfully are the breeders who keep the fry from birth onward, in much larger tanks with heavy plantings. Please tell me you at least planted it heavily, since it is a must with a sorority.. give the poor guy some shelter for a bit here and there between being bullied and attacked.

Male bettas should NEVER be kept together! Especially in a 10 gallon tank, they'll rip each other to shreds. You definitely shouldn't be keeping the male with the females. They may be acting fine now but these fish just are not meant to be kept together like that. They're going to end up hurting each other.

Thank you so much! I am noticing some bad behavior and i watched a video (so sad) i dont want to look like a bad person like that, ill put the divider back in but, the betta male set up was only temporary because i have a betta condo coming in the mail soon. Troll?

Glad you have it divided, but i suggest a 20 gallon(long not tall) for a soriority of females, 10 gallon plus the guppies and the male on the divided side is WAY overstocked

Until then, do 2 water changes a week to keep the ammonia down

I am upgrading to a 45 gallon soon so then it will be fine
