he was fine this morning and i went to look at him just now and he looks like he swallowed a tiny ball??! hes still swimming around but little slower...what can it be?

Poor guy, he must have to really go.. well.. poo lol. Sometimes with sudden bloating like that happens right before they go.

If you have any Epsom Salt handy, go ahead and set him up with 1tsp per gallon, daily 100% water changes, fast him for the rest of the day and most of tomorrow. If he is still bloated then possibly wait til the day after. Keep him in Epsom for a day or two after the bloating is gone to make sure that whatever it was, is out of his system. Also try flaring him to see if he goes to the bathroom, as that may help make him go and it may take away the bloating.

could he have gotten into food he shouldn't have? I had my girls inhale some algae wafers and they looked quite large.

Fast, epsom salt, and try to get him to flare (it really does work!)

he gets 5 small pellets a day.... hes a lot better today...i guess he had to "go" lol

5 Pellets are way too many. Try only giving him 2-3 a day instead, it should help to keep him from getting bloated. :)

5 pellets is not "way too much" if it is split up, 3 in the morning, 2 at night. It's good to hear he's getting better. Good job catching this right away!

.... hes a big boy and has a lot of energy...i dont think 5 is to much but ill cut it down to 4 for now..i think he may have eaten some sand by mistake...and i found my little shrimp dead (i just found half of him) soo maybe he ate him 2! yes i give him 3 in am and 2 at night..thank you! hes back to normal

5 is actually a good number. I feed mine 4 each feeding with 2 feedings a day= 8 total. But mine are monsters. xD

I'm glad he feels better missm!
