Does your tank have a filter? No
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration? No
Is your tank heated? Yes
What tank mates does your betta fish live with? None

What type of food do you feed your betta fish? Omega betta pellets
How often do you feed your betta fish? twice a day, 2 pellets per feeding

How often do you perform a water change? Twice weekly
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change? One 50% and one 100%
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change? Tetra betta safe conditioner

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters? No

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? He seems to have some black lining the edges of his fins. It's sort of black and then looks clear.
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? No real change in behavior.
When did you start noticing the symptoms? Today, when I was feeding him.
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? No
Does your fish have any history of being ill? Just some bloating
How old is your fish (approximately)? About a year old, maybe younger.

It looks like Nero is beginning to experience fin rot. I have AQ Salt and some medicine, but I'm not sure if I should use either or just wait and see for a couple days. I just did a 50% water change yesterday with a full dosing of conditioner, so I don't know if that means anything, either.

Clear edges is usually new growth. Can you get a picture? Are his fins tattered at all? You can try giving him 50% water changes every other day to help with healing, in addition to his 100% weekly. Clean water is the best medicine for fin issues. But it honestly sounds like he's just growing his fins out from what I read.
