Exclamation My roommate's betta needs help

My roommate and I got our betta females at the same time from the same petco store, they have both been fed the same food in the same amount, live in similarly sized bowls, and have both had their water changed the same way at the same times but for some reason her betta is extremely bloated. At first it looked like she was just full of eggs but it's been almost a month and she's still the same size and everything. She still eats and swims around actively but I'm getting really worried about her. I've tried putting salt in her water in case it was an infection but that hasn't done anything, I also tried skipping a few feedings and nothing has seemed to make any impact. Can someone please help me figure out what's wrong with her?

your roommate's is the little Crowntail girl? CT gals are known to be fatter in the tummy than the others. if she's active and poops fine, i wouldn't worry too much about her. my CT gal was always big in tummy, but would get skinny about once a month.

Is the fish having trouble swimming or acting like normal? Could be the fish was young and is just developing a bigger tummy. Describe any changes in behavior, that should help! :)

my little CT girl was TEENY when i got her. then, after she grew a bit, she got the big tummy. she could just be more mature now, and getting eggy. :3

yeah, i was told a while back, that CT females are skinnier in body-shape than other tail types, and thus their tummy looks bigger. just keep an eye on her, make sure she's eating and pooing well, and make sure her tummy doesn't get any bigger. as long as she's active and eating and pooing fine, she should be okay. :3

One of my little PK ladies (I think she is PK...) is really fat lol. And looks like that... but eats, poops, all that then slims out every month, then gets fat all over again. Some ladies carry more eggs than others :) And like the others said... CT get bigger bellies.
