he looks like my Scout(the betta in my avatar)! color, and everything.

so... you just got him, right? just keep up the feeding and water changes, and that fin rot he's got will go away, and he'll fatten up nicely!

also, get rid of the bettafix. that'll harm his labyrinth organ, and can kill him.

Thank you! Right now he looks like your scout a bit, but today he has gotten spots on his upper fin and he's gotten a bit bluer :)

Awww poor little guy! I bet he's going to be stunning once he's feeling better! Keep up with the aquarium salt, and water changes daily. If you have Stresscoat you could add that to his water, it encourages healing in fins. His weight doesn't look too bad, I've definitely seen worse. I think just feeding him high-protein pellets or flakes and blood worms as treats would be just fine, i'm sure he'll pack on the pounds in no time! Good luck with him, I can't wait to see how he turns out!!!

what's funny? Scout got a nice blue shine to him soon after bringing him home! it's almost like you have Scout's HM twin!

hopefully, your new boy will do as well as Scout is. i was worried Scout was thin, too, but he was just itty bitty. if you can find some New Life Spectrum Grow pellets, that's what i feed all my babies. it's full of proteins and other nutrients that help the little ones grow. :3
