Ever bought this?

I don't know if this is just for the divider, or the tank itself. Seems awfully cheap.

Eventually (likely after we move) I would like to get Cheddar, Jack, and Chandelier each they're own tank.

Any opinions? I'm also open to better options, I want it to be small though. No bigger then 3 gallons.

I have that tank, and I hate it. It's too tall and narrow. I use it as a QT tank half filled these days. Much rather suggest the 2.5 gal for 17.99 (Canadian) http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...26amp%3B+Bowls

^ +1 to silver.
Bettas need long/wide tanks, not tall ones. They don't swim up/down like some fish do, they prefer side to side motion. :)

EDIT:: OH! Since you live in my state, Meijer actually has really reaaalllyy good deals on tanks! (just glass ones with no hood) but they are $10-15. :)

Besides, they are harder to decorate!
I'm biding my time for a plain rectangular 5.5 or if I Can get a used 10gal.
Would rather divide that for two boys than use that big unweildy thing. (I mean have you ever tried to empty it? I keep soaking the back splash when emptying it).

Back to the main point, they don't like height, or at least it's not as comfortable for them.

I have 3 of those & all of my wifh have preferred This, Tall & Narrow tank over them. It may have alot to do with the filtration & the light, but they still liked them better.

Thanks for the opinions so far! I didn't the know I was thinking of was so tall.

I wonder why Petco doesn't have small tanks like these? Least mine doesn't, they just have them fancy tanks that are like 4 gallons and cost $120.

Your in the wrong isle.

Edit: in both of my local Petco's the cheap little tanks are in a different isle then the larger nicer tanks are.. & THen normally the tanks like the fluval chi & edge are somewhere else.. They dont want you looking at a lesser model when your there shopping..

Those "Kritter Keepers" (the 2-3 gals) make very good homes too, and they range from $12-20. I have one of those for my new boy. :)
