They also seem to carry "red loss", which is common in black dragon strains (removed red wash). Some fry retained red but most lost it at the 2.5-3 month mark.

I do find it interesting that they ended up carrying a touch of DT, probably from the father's side. He has a large and broad based dorsal.

I was thinking the same thing! The father does seem to have a broad caudal too, not including that his anal fin is pretty long as well for a HMPK IMO.

Bettasusa-I emailed you. Unfortunately, as betta lover said, there are very few females left.

oh I don't know... I have like 6 pairs atm but no luck spawning them thus far. Lots of egg eaters or failure to thrive fry. Hopefully something will happen and I'll have fish available in June/July.
Pairs I'm working with:
Blue Dragon Salamanders HM
Blue Multies HM (from Martinismommy)
Black Marble CT
Copper HM
Black Dragon HM
Green Salamander HM

The next three pairs I'll be trying are the black marble CTs, green salamanders and the Blue multies from Karen. The blue dragon salamander male got too tired after courting for a day or two so I'll have to recondition them... the black dragons are notorious egg eaters... We're on our 4th try. This time I'll be collecting the eggs as they fall and hatch them myself. The copper's eggs didn't hatch, probably either unfertilized or they eggs hadn't matured enough yet so they are also being reconditioned. Gotta keep telling myself to be patient!! lol

Here's some pics...
Kreios (Blk Marble CT)

Green Salamander

Hayate- blue multi from Karen

I love your fish! ^_^

Going to have to keep an eye out to see what you have for sale next. I've already told Devon that I'll be upgrading my sorority in a couple of months and then will be adding more girls to it. XD

Wow your pairs are great!! Very exciting not to know which ones to breed first.

What ever happened to the blue dragons you had or were going to get?

Enkil-haha well I should have a ton available eventually... just need the fish to cooperate with us is all.

bettalover- Oh, I forgot about those guys! I do have them too. I spawned the solid blue male twice and both times the fry were deformed/failed to thrive. The marble has turned almost solid blue (lol) and has been too aggressive so far. Breeding isn't on his mind atm so I'm letting him grow up a bit.

I also have two plakat pairs but the males are much smaller than the females so have to wait for them to grow up.

One of the HMPK males
