I actually would like to see this with sand! Or maybe a light colored gravel that looks earthy :D To compliment the dark rocks

How do you manage sand? It seem like it could be messy.

Sands pretty easy actually, im using some myself!
Im using play sand, which is dirt cheap (hurrhurr) 5$ for 50lbs where I live. You wont need that much though :P

You just have to rinse it well so it wont cloud your tank and poke it every week or so to release air that may be trapped underneath it. The air can turn toxic if it sits too long and will poison your tank.

Its very easy to clean, you just scoop the poop and uneaten food out since everything sits on the top instead of falling in between the gravel ^^
