Bloated, fuzzy halo around poop

My betta fish bluto seems to be suffering from something. He is bloated even though today is his fasting day and I only fed him one pellet because I felt sorry for him. But that one pellet shouldn't make him that bloated. Actually, I just had him poop. Removed the paper dividing his tank and the other tank with another male. But he seems a little sluggish and I still can't figure out what that fuzzy stuff around his poop is. I prodded it with my fish tank ruler and it clouded the water a bit. I just want to make sure it's not an internal parasite or anything. Thank you.

I'd put him on 1 tsp/gal epsom salt to try and get everything out of him and reduce the swelling. change the water everyday too. this should help you find out if it's parasites or something else.

I've never experienced fuzzy poop unless I let it sit in the tank for a few days and the bacteria started to eat it.

My betta has the same thing and I am trying to figure out if he needs a different antibiotic, prazipro or Metronidazole. What worked for you?
