We lost Cameron on 10/25/2011.
He didn't show any external signs of infection, and he didn't suffer long. He was an old man, and it was just his time.
I adopted him from a member on this forum after I had first joined. And from then on it was love. He had a personality that I had never seen in a fish before. He was the kind of fish that would investigate who was dropping the food in his tank before he even thought about eating. He would flare at anyone who passed by. When he slept, he liked to wedge himself into small spaces so that I couldn't find him, or he'd sleep horizontally on the gravel, or in his shell. Such a strange fish, but it only made me love him more. It was hard to say goodbye, and I'm still heartbroken. Noelle, his divider buddy, is still feeling the pain. She just started eating again today.
Cameron, you brought so much joy into my life, and even Kirk's life for that matter. Even if you did get mad when I would make food on YOUR kitchen counter... We're going to miss you so much, and we'll love you forever and always. Rest in peace, sweetheart.
The first photo I received of him.
