A hallowe'en rescue sorta ....

I spotted this tiny little guy today while doing hallowe'en shopping rounds, and decided to give him a chance since he was trying so hard to grab my attention. His cup was FILTHY and filled with gobs of uneaten food. I'm keeping him in a heated container with BWE, and he's eaten two pellets so far. I think Ezekiel will be okay ... and hopefully those dal spots will be bright and beautiful one day!

I'll do regular updates :)

I have myself quite a vibrant orange Betta, when I move him into his new tank I'll post some pictures. It's amazing how fast their color changes. Your little guy looks adorable and I can't wait to see his progress. Good luck!

You have a orange dalmatian!
Poor little guy... he need FOOD! He's soooo skinny.
I would feed him one or 2 pellets more than you normally would or one extra time a day... he really looks like he wasn't eating well.

Try feeding him some frozen blood worms and brine shrimp, they'll help him gain some weight
Good save

Thanks, yes, I've been feeding him mostly frozen bloodworms/brine shrimp and some NLS Grow/Omega 1 pellets ... only two at a time though, since he's so skinny. Otherwise he's doing swimmingly!

Steeping decaf green tea in his tank could help him relax enough to eat, if he is is still shaken up. Sometimes when they first arrive home, they don't eat for a period of time as they are adjusting and as others have said, this guy really needs to.

I've heard that tea works well. I've just gotten some Indian Almond leaves from my LFS though, put some in his hospital tank. They work wonders on sick bettas. I'm also happy to say that he's flared for the first time! Go Zeke!

Oh yeah, I love orange bettas too! I have an orange/black marble butterfly HM and another orange dalmatian VT.
