So I wanted to wait a little till I got pictures of the girls, their quick! Sorry for the bad quality only have my phone. Also Couldn't get a picture of Sunny, and Dal they like to hide and are camera shy.

Sky: she had it the worst off at first, and her and the alpha got into it pretty bad at first, thought she might have to be in a separate tank, but I introduced her again with a second female and rearranged the tank and so far so good.

oh I realize that it looks like some of the girls have fin rot, they don't I have been watching it and making sure they don't show any of the signs.

What a great looking sorority!!! They're so pretty, I love the alpha!!! I'd keep a close eye on Sky, she kinda looks like a young male o_o

About Sky: She can't be a male because you can see her egg spot in the picture. That little white dot under her belly.

Actually, some young males have egg spots! These bettas, they're so confusing XD Hold a mirror up to him/her, if it flares and has a big beard then it's probably male. Also, males flare while turning their bodies sideways to make themselves appear bigger, while females usually flare straight on =)

Wow! That's so interesting! I never knew that. Do the male's egg spots disappear as they get older or are they just hidden? I thought only females could have egg spots because only females can produce eggs! Strange...

All betta fry have egg spots for awhile, that's why you can't distinguish their sex until they reach around 2ish months (they also start getting more aggressive/growing out their fins if they are long finned males). They should eventually fade on the males =) Sky kinda looks like he/she might be a young male, her ventral fins are kinda long and her caudal fin (tail) has alot of droop to it. Her anal fin is also very long. And if Sky is more aggressive than the other females, then there's definitely a good chance that she is actually a he X)

Thanks Indy! I will deffinately keep an eye on sky! I assumed cause of the eggspot it was a she :)
