Please help I'm so scared he's gonna die!

Its about Kai again. Popeye: Gone.

New issue: He's listless his mouth looks damaged and he has an orangeish spot on his face. It could be scar tissue for all I know as he had this..Gunk is all I can describe it on his face and when it fell off there was what looked to me like a fish version of a scab.

He's so listless yet he still builds bubble nests. I'm so confused and scared especially as no one's been helping me at all since this started to show up I've been winging it since when asked about it and I described it guess what? Ignored! Please Kai is one of my babies it kills me to see him act almost like my Akira did before he passed.

Is there any way to get a picture? It's hard to picture an "orangeish spot".. what did the gunk look like? What is similar to a grey-ish slime? Was it thick or thin.. what color was it?

Bubble nests aren't a true sign of happy/healthy.. they do it for territory, breeding and even weather systems.

I would love to help, but have no information other then the spot..

All my photo's of him turn out terrible when they see the camera they try to get away.

The gunk was flesh toned it was thinish and sort of fell off him like dead skin. The spot is about this big: __ Directly under his previously bad eye. He still has an appetite and swims just...Sort of listlessly.

He might still be feeling some pain if his pop eye was serious and the orange-ish skin just fell off.

I don't think fish scab, but it might have been something similar?

If it still looks to be an open wound, maybe try some aquarium salt or an anti-bacterial to make sure it doesn't get infected, or to fight infection if it somehow is.

I can't say I've experienced this before, but clean, dark, and quiet always seems to work wonders with any problems.

We just found out what it is and it sounds like a cut he got from messing around (he wiggles into a lot of weird spots) Got infected and in my newest thread I mentioned I got him the medications he needs for it I just need to know the proper betta dosage.
