Unhappy Getting Nervous About Leaving for Turkey-Day

I am taking Spooky home with me over Thanksgiving break, but my boys will be in my dorm for 10 days. I know that they can go 10 days without food, but I am still worried. Their tank is cycled and I have practice tested the water after 10 days of no changes and the parameters are still perfect. So water quality is not an issue at all. There are also some critters in the tank that the fish can find and munch on, so hopefully they won't be completely without food! Both of my boys have never been healthier, the lights are on a timer, and they have been in this tank for almost 4 months now with no problems with the divider.

What can I say? I am a worried fish keeper! Quell my fears!

*huggggggggggs* .. i know kinda how u feel .. i'm leaving my boys for 4 days this weekend .. and i'm worried they won't be eating for 3 days .. not to mention the water changes on my 1g D= and my 1/2g temp tank @_@

10 days is a long time .. but your boys are healthy and in cycled tanks .. so i'm sure they will be alright !!

also .. i've been contemplating if i should set up a web cam to keep an eye on them =) and set it so i can peek at them on my phone ..

I'm sure they will be ok... But they will miss you! You don't have a friend who can check on them once or twice when yer gone, just to give you a piece of mind...?

They will definitely be ok... but they will be demanding some turkey after fasting for so many days!

Thank you! Hearing it from other people helps. No, I don't know anyone in the area. I actually feel safer knowing they are locked away without food than having to worry about someone overfeeding, or doing something else to my precious fish! And it is a huge relief not to worry about water quality (the reason my girl is going back with me).

Don't worry they will be OK. Easy for me to say, right? I feel the same way every time I go somewhere for vacation, etc.

hmmmm with they made an automatic food dispenser for isolated fish that was all super robotic and stuff! They could have a clock and timer that could release like 3 pellets at a certain hour of the day and be wireless! ^-^ Imma see if they have anything like that online!

oh wait there are online, but theyz expensive! :(
