Using Stress Coat +

I usually use Aqueon Betta Bowl Plus for my water changes. I was running out so I bought APT Stress Coat instead. Is it OK to use Stress Coat as your primary water conditioner? What is Ammo Lock? It seems that Stress Coat is somewhat the same as Aqueon Betta Bowl Plus because it has the detoxt agents plus the elements to promote proper slime coat.....

Personally, I use it as a water conditioner. My fish have been using it since June.

A lot of people on this forum recommending to use Stress Coat, i think it by API as a water conditioner. I read a lot of positive feed back about it.

My mom has been using it for years and years. :) I switched over to Prime because it is cheaper, but I think that API stress coat is just as amazing.

My fish are overall healthier since I have been using it, I have had problems here with regular betta bowl conditioner or tropical fish conditioner. That's amazing to me.

In a world where it seems like more products hurt our animals than help them, how could it not be considered amazing? Not to mention its magical properties that allows chemically treated water to become safe seconds after it is added. Could you imagine trying to keep fish without it?

I agree with the magical properties. I was wondering why this one would be more amazing then another.

Well I really only like Prime and Stress Coat +... Prime because it is cheap and goes a loooooooong way, and Stress Coat because it has that little extra something that Prime doesn't. I use Prime for daily use, Stress Coat+ when a fishy is feeling under the weather.

I have been using it for almost 20 years- but I haven't used it as my main conditioner. I use partial doses when I do water changes. Whether it's valid or not, but all those years ago I got it stuck in my head that it would be better used for it's soothing properties rather then as the main conditioner/dechlorinator.

But that's just me, and all those years ago there wasn't an internet to run to, and I had to go on experiments/experience and out dated books that I could find at the library on the fish themselves hehe.
