Exclamation Help, Currently have two Betta w/ Velvet

Hey everyone,
Like the title says i have two of my betta that have Velvet.
I am making a run to get some supplies tomorrow and need a little more advice on what treatments to buy.

I took a look at the Sticky thread and saw that i needed to treat it like Ick.

If anyone can give me a general list of things to get would really help based on your experiences with Velvet.

Thanks for your input and help.

Aquarium salt for sure. Stress coat would be nice too.

I don't know which medications you would use. I don't think the ick specific medication would work quite right.

Take a look at which medication say they treat for velvet or external parasites though.

I think what you want is called coppersafe...

Quote:
Freshwater CopperSafe is provided in a concentration so that one teaspoon treats four gallons or one fluid ounce treats 25 gallons. CopperSafe remains active for over one month in the aquarium.
Symptoms:
  • Ick: white spots which may cover entire body; fish may rub or scratch against bottom.
  • Protozoan/Velvet: tiny yellowish-white spots, loss of color, rubbing or scratching against bottom.
  • Parasites: extra mucus, visible spots or worms, rapid breathing, flashing and scratching or rubbing on rocks.

Also Quick Cure, which has the active ingredient of Malachite green might help. It's for Ick but im not sure it will help with velvet.

I am not the greatest when it comes to fishy medicine
