best bet overall is to get a hex-5 from www.bigalspets.com they ship north too, the tank has everything but a heater, with heater its like $60 after shipping iirc

beats buying an aquarium who's return WON'T be honored at your local walmart

Why buy a fish from the states? What is the point - it's not as if the quality of fish is higher in pet stores? Buy Canadian. I'm sure you could find a breeder near you.

Here's a breeder in Montreal. His fish are STUNNING! And expensive, but I'm sure if you told him your price range he would be able to help you out.

The only reason why I was considering to look at the fish over there is that the petstore here never have variety and frankly, I have yet to find a place where they actually take care of the bettas properly. I'm not a pro with bettas yet so when I buy one, I tend to look for one that has no problems like finrot, tail biting, ick... I don't think i'm ready to rescue one that has problems yet. And a lot of the places that are around here have fish with problems. So I was maybe going to take a look when I go next weekend because you guys are always saying that Petsmart take good care of their fishes... LOL!
