I think your budgies are beautiful! What is the difference between and American and a British budgie?

the english Budgies are larger then the American budgie and tend to have slightly longer head feathers

Great example from google

Wow, that is quite a size difference. I wonder which ones are the ones sold here?

Most often American Budgies are sold in pet shops. English ones are relatively hard to find. :3

I personally think American Budgies are just a little bit cuter.

Since you live in Australia where they're native you can probably find both :)

Beautiful birds everyone!

I used to have a pair of love birds that hated each other LOL. I named them Harold and Maude. Maude used to beat the snot out of Harold but when I seperated them, they used to screech for each other.

Go figure

Awwww!!! How cute! Budgies!

Yep, Budgies (American) are native in Australia. They fly wild there. The wild ones are green.

gah i want a bird so bad! i can't have one right now, though, still living with the parentals who are already upset about my new fish habit and i also want an African grey so i'd need a huge cage, i looked after my neighbor's 4 African greys when they would go on vacation and i just loved them. they had a huge outdoor Avery for them and they turned their hot tub room into a bird room in the winter. Sadly they entrusted one of their foster kids to take care of the birds as her chore, every day they'd ask if she fed the birds and she would lie and say yes... they died a few weeks later - it was so sad :'(
