New red spawn log

I bred my awesome half moon male flamage to my super red female cherry. Spawn is now free swimming and eating BBS. I will keep the thread updated

Me too I hope I get some really good deep reds. I am gonna spawn a female back to the father to increase the Half moon traits.

oh that'll be pretty :) good luck!!! And yeah if my spawn works out, I want to get one of my "hopefully" fry, and breed it to one parent.

Okay a question. You can breed daughter father... Does son and mother work too? Or not as well?

To be honest I was surprised myself she is so red, usually they have more of the Cambodian features .
As for line breeding I believe you can do it safely both ways but I would only do it once. After that I would mix in some new genes. Bettas can handle a moderately high amount of inbreeding due to their natural environment being so prone to close breeding situations.
