Baffling a Corner Filter

So I recently upgraded Whiskey to his 3 gallon semi planted (he's super happy in it :) ) and Falcor got his 1.5 gallon (has spine issues, and swimming issues).

But anyway, For the three gallon I have a small corner (box) filter taking care of some of the mechanical and biological filtering, and the outtake seems to be too much for Whiskey (started tail biting)

any advice for a quick and dirty way to baffle it?

I've baffled filters two ways. One way is with the plastic bottle cut out according to the sticky I found earlier. I think it's titled "How to make you own baffle" or something very similar.

With my current tank the top doesn't let me use that type of baffle with my filter. So I use aquarium sponge at the intake and out take of my filter to slow down the flow. There is still some current in my tanks, but it isn't nearly as bad. I change out the sponge baffles when ever I see algae growth (about 2 weeks or so).

same basic set up as this : )

The way of baffling in the sticky does not work for this type of filter, and since it is a small relatively lightly stocked (one betta) it's a good filter for what I need.

You should be able to adapt my method to this but I'm not 100% sure what the results will be, might want to give it a try. Check out the thread about a more elegant solution to filter flow in threads started by me and see if that will work for you.
