Stress Coat Question

I'm doing a water change and bought some stress coat to add to my Bowie's tank. I'm only doing a partial water change, since I did a larger one earlier this week (Which seems to have stressed Bowie out a bit), and I have two questions before I start.

1: Can I use Stress coat in place of water conditioner in the fresh water I'm putting in? (I've done research on the topic, but I wanted to make 100% sure I'm clear on the answer to this before treating his water).
2: Since I'm leaving water in, should I put in enough stress coat in to cover treating ALL 5.5 gallons of water in the tank, or should I just put in enough for the fresh water?

It can be used in place of conditioner.

You will want to dose it for the entire tank (Same with any conditioner you use).

Thanks so much for the quick reply! Do you think putting in enough for the 5.5 gallons in the fresh water would be good? or should I treat the water that's already in the tank separately?

Sorry for all the questions! I've only ever done complete water changes before, so I'm kind of figuring things out as I go.

Putting it in the water you're going to be adding is just fine. That'll give it some time to work as a conditioner before you add to the tank.
