New Betta :)

I wasn't planning on getting another betta, but it happened. lol. I was in Walmart with my dad at 2 am.. Went to the pet section to get some food for my cat and overheard one of the employees saying something about how they should just throw the betta out because it was dying and they were going to get new ones in anyway..?? Curious I wandered over to the fish and saw that there was a lone betta in a cup who was on his side. Obviously not happy. And while I don't want to support Walmart fish, I was afraid of what they would do to the poor guy. So I went and grabbed the cheapest tank they had (which is only a .5 gallon but it'll work for the week) and then the fish while the employee was stocking some pet supplies and snuck off with him. XD (seriously though... are they even allowed to do that? ... seems so cruel...)
He seems to be doing alot better now that he's in clean water. Though he seems to be over stressed by the reflections of himself... I'm hoping lack of light will help with that for now >.<

Can't believe they'd throw a silver multi 4 ray CT down the drain. O-o That's horribleeeeeeee! I'm so glad you rescued him though, he looks great! I don't see any fin rot, his scales look clear. :D Wonderful job. More pics please!

He is stunning! Thank you for bringing him home, how horrible of those workers! Your other boy is gorgeous too, he's identical to my new boy Gadget, except Gadget is a CT lol The 0.5g tank is ok for now, I mean it's better than being flushed alive at that store! You know to keep water changes up and upgrade so it's all good! Congrats on your new boy!
