Tail type only matters to individual buyers. I have a VT and he nipped his tail right down.. It's nearly all the way back now. HM sometimes have a hard time swimming in a larger tank after coming from a cup, so start small and work your way up- I think that's there the tail biting comes from in them. CT's are just mean looking! Like putting a spike collar on your dog! :D They're awesome though ! ^.^

I say: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As long as you see a beautiful betta, and are taking care of it properly, choose the one that "speaks" to you. Have a good time hunting the perfect betta!
Welcome.

I wanna go betta shopping again :( lol

Saw one last week- a CT that was white, with powder pale green and blue on his fins- he would of colored up nicely if given the proper home. He wasn't looking so good, none of them were (was at Walmart). But my last tank I have available is reserved for the perfect pink/purple girl my boyfriend is searching for.. and with the holidays coming up, don't want to spend too much until all the presents are bought. So.. sigh.. he had to stay there. It's difficult to find "just one" sometimes hehe
