Aww poor El Dorado has lots of ich!

Wooow.... I've never seen ich pop up this fast. He WAS in a 3 gallon, and I moved him to his own 10 gallon - which right now is bare bottom and no plants. But it was heated to 78....

Maybe it was too big of a change? He eats very well though. Flowy fins are not clamped, no hard breathing... Mostly active... Other than he''ll sulk beneath the adjustable filter, or rub against the filter. :( poor thing.

I've raised the salt slowly, now he is at 2 tsp in total.
How many teaspoons can I add (individual or per gallon) safely at once? I usually add one tsp per 2 or so hours... Or should I do it one tsp per gallon (thats ten teaspoons???!!)?? That part I never caught onto. I just dont want it to progress! It's on his mouth, and all over other than his eyes and gills!

I'll raise the temperature to get those little buggers a faster cycle :)

I think you could safely go from 1 tsp/gal to 2 tsp/gal within a few hours, and then go a little slower raising it to 3 tsp/gal.

I've always done it that way and have not experienced any difficulties with it.

Thanks :) He is very active and all... I think it was just the move to a larger tank could've done it! >< I got him 1 tsp last night, and now he is at 3 right now. In an hour or so I'll raise it a bit more... Just so he can get rid of those nasties! :)

Yeah. I don't see why QT is needed. Unless he has tank mates?

Well, easier to monitor, easier for adding the medications But if movement was the cause then I want to minimize... Which means when I move he cannot be in a divided tank since he'll get stressed again anyways and then yeah lol. darn fishies are so picky

:D True, but in a 10G you can also monitor his active-ness better.
