He might have a couple wonky rays but that's the challenge of breeding Crowntails. I think that's why there aren't very many CT's entered in the shows, especially the new breeders class. He is 3rd generation from my fishroom. The first generation I bred was in 8.2 ph water and about half of them looked like I'd put there fin rays in curlers. I moved to my property in Harrison, AR last year and the Black Orchids I raised there were all good and for the most part had straight rays. Now that I moved back up to Branson the ph is close to 8.0 but they are holding their rays. I never have a problem with my Gold CT's and I have a new spawn of White ones so I'll see how they do in the higher ph.
