Very sick little girl

Hello everyone!

I went to the local PU again and food a near dead little girl. The employee working the fish section told me that she would give me the fish if I could try to save her. (when she noticed my interest). So i took her home. Now I think it is a fungus. I put some tannin in her water and some bettafix to give it a boost but I am not sure what it is so I am a bit worried. It is a single huge white spot on her head. not fuzzy as far as I can see but my eyes are not very functional. So please let me know if you have ideas. While we are at it, why not name her?!












I hope she makes it..she is so sweet. She deserves a chance.


Even though i don't see fuzz I am putting my money on a fungal infection.

I would use betta revive if you could get it. If that doesn't seem to work I would start treatment for Columnaris. She's very cute and I wish you the best though. Oh...And I'd call her Dotty, Dot for short. :)

I had a feeling it might be that. There was a dead fish in that tank, a small female covered in white stringy fungus like matter. They though my new female was dead. xD.

daww, glad you found her and got to take her home... hope she pulls through... I'd do daily 100's and try fresh water aquarium salt, 1 1/2 teaspoon per gallon.... maybe some API stress coat+ in addition to her usual conditioner.... though you said you're using tannins so may not be needed :3 keep us posted on the poor little girl.... <3

I'll know if she stands a chance if she can pull through the night. I hope to see her moving, even if just a little, in the morning.
