Do you think this betta is worth $61 after import and shipping fees?

Like the title says, is this betta fish worth that amount of money?

Nope... not for breeding IMO anyways. His anal is very long which can be hard to correct in the fry. His edges are also kind of uneven. Nice pattern though. I just think you could find a nicer fish.

But don't go on what the shipping is, just go on the price of the fish and if you think it's worth what they're asking for it. The shipping is going to be the same regardless. For that fish I would maybe pay at most $15.

Well the thing is I originally wanted this one, http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/closed.cgi?view_closed_item&fwbettashm1321899220 , but the girl who was gonna bid on it for me fell asleep and missed it or something like that. Well I noticed the seller had a sibling to that one and wanted him. I asked the buyer to purchase him but asked if $25 shipped for him would be fair and she said ok. Well a couple days after the auction ended on the fish she states she did buy it now, which confuses me as the auction ended with 0 bidders and the bid price was $20-$25(can't remember which one) and now I am stuck paying an extra $10-$15 for the fish itself. Plus I did state I had a budget of $25 hence why I was asking if she could get the fish for $25 shipped. So I guess there was a communication break down some where along the line. So now she bought the fish and its on its way to her and she has $25 from me, what do I do? Say I am no longer interested in the fish or eat the extra cost? I am torn as I like the fish as its similar to the one I really wanted but I don't know if $61+ is worth it for a fish.

Beautiful mustard gas. I think we have American breeders of those, but not sure. I don't want to export my money. Look around here for ameche breeders and you might get surprised

If you're looking for a pretty fish to look at, just about any fish will be worth it in my book.
If you're breeding, then that's when there are other things to take in consideration. This fish is not breeding worth because of what 1fish2fish said, his anal is too long and his edges are uneven. Also his caudal ends are slightly round, not a breeder in my book.
If you like his because he has pretty colors, I don't blame you. He has a stunning butterfly pattern.
