Recommended breeder in Australia?

Does anyone know of any good Betta breeders in Australia?

I got my black orchid CT (in my avatar) from a little lfs nearby but I'm not sure where he got him from

Where abouts in Australia are you?

AusAqua forum is mainly frequented by betta breeders and enthusiasts. I'm sure someone on there could help you out with what you're looking for.

@LittleBettaFish: Yeah I had a quick look at AusAqua through Victoria Betta site but I haven't had the time to check it out properly yet. Hopefully sometime this weekend

I'm not looking at breeding Bettas at the moment but I'd rather pay for one that has been bred by someone who understands (and cares) about these awesome little fish, rather than someone who just wants to make easy money. I guess I have this opinion because the ones at my local pet store never look nice no matter how happy and healthy you can get them to be. I'm pretty sure they're bred by the same breeder because 99% of them are blue VT and the store owner tried to tell me that these are 'regular' Bettas and CT are very rare costing around $50-60! (mine was $26 after freight)

oh ok. I live in Bowen and since it's like in the middle of places its hard to get anything.
I understand how you feel. I want to get a good quality Betta for my next spawn, but I am also struggling to find anywhere in Australia. If you find someone/ somewhere that sends them, please pm me, id really appreciate it. Good luck Betta hunting :)

No worries. If the guy who sold me my CT is in the store when I go there next, I'll ask him where he got him from and if they can get them over your way. If so, I'll send you their email. Good luck also :)
