Will this hurt my betta? D:

My sister dropped a chocolate wrapper with mint and chocolate leftovers in the bowl ( no filter ). I took it out very quickly but I'm worried something went in the bowl! I just cleaned the bowl and can't do it again for some days! Will it hurt him?

Why can't you clean again? IMO, better safe than sorry, just do another water change.

he'll probably be fine. I would probably worry too, though :). Just check for signs of illness. If nothing happens, its probably fine and will get flushed out with the next water change.

I'm not any kind of authority though...

I wouldn't worry, I accidentally dropped a SHAMPOO TOP into my betta's tank (Actually I just set it on top and forgot and opened the lid and it fell in there ;n;) And I did a big water change, and Lore is still here chilling with me. I was panicking though, because I've always heard "NO SOAP EVER" for fish so I understand your anxiety!

I'd clean it out again. It couldn't hurt.

I'm in the group that says clean it out one more time. Rather be save than sorry in the long run.

I say if you cleaned it out once, then a second time doesn't matter- especially if you already did a 100% water change. It was a wrapper that touched water that was removed. It won't harm him, but what can stress him out is the extra water change.
