I just saw, quite possibly, the stupidest thing ever.

Somebody put their betta and the betta's teeny tiny vase into a 5 gallon tank (minus the water) in order to "protect the fish from the cats".

*brain explodes from the stupid*

Is there anyway to tell them to simply use the 5 gallon tank for the betta? That is pretty dumb though...

Those were my thoughts exactly.

Don't worry, I gave them a long and extended rant on everything about fish care that I could think of. Couldn't believe my eyes at first--I thought, there must be water in that 5 gallon and the vase is just there as some kind of ugly cave. But no.

..... Isn't that what hoods are for? -.- You can go to a Home Depot or something and make your own hood.... I say they're just being lazy >.>
