Is survivor a male or female

So i got this fish about 2 weeks ago from walmart. It was labeled as a female but its tail fin looks kinda big to me. There is an egg spot but I heard males can have them to.








When I got here


Could it be any worse??



I want to make sure its a female before adding her to the sorority. Plus I want to make sure no one else comes down with columnaris. So for now she is chillin' in here


It's about a gallon, but she seems happy with it and loves the bamboo plant.
I have a 3 gallon kritter keeper but the previous occupant had columnaris, i think. She had something nasty anyways and Im afraid to use it.

I never would of picked this one, not a fan of blue but the BF pointed her out 2 X and said "if your gonna save one, this one won;t be here tomorrow." With that ammonia level, he was probably right. She also had the beginning of ick but its all gone

Males dont have eggspots. Its only when they are just a fry they have eggspots but lose them. So that must be a female. Wait until someone else comments just in case.

but HERE is a male Spadetail wih an egg spot




Males CAN have eggspots, especially males with short tails

However, I think your betta is a female... I dont SEE a beard, but if you can get her to flare it would be easier to see
