Okay, Wed or Thurs will work fine- I know how it can be when busy. Even if you have to do smaller water changes, a couple 10%s instead of a 25% would work.

But you should always keep up on the once a week at least- luckily yours having live plants and a little bigger it's less % and easier on you :)

Welcome! Let us know if it changes at all- like I said, I'm not a 100% sure he doesn't have rot, but having a little extra clean water will work wonders if he does. Good luck to you and him!
