My two Betta boys....

Here are my two boys, My crowntail has soooo much personality I had to move the 5 gallon to my desk so I can interact often. The other one, a split tail (?) is not as interactive and mostly stays suspended in beauty.....
Can anyone tell me their coloring , if there is a name ??
My crowntail is from my neighborhood small store, the other from Petco....

double tail, bottom is multicolor, top is butterfly. Very nice fish!

top is definately a CT... his color pattern is butterfly. A very desirable color pattern at that. There was, maybe still is one on aquabid that could be this one's twin brother.

Bottom is a Double tail

Butterflies have partially white tails, that crowntail has random places of white.

Now the double-tail might be a butterfly, but I'm not 100% certain, I don't do well with identifying betta's that have cellophane tails.

I'd say they're both multicolor, the double-tail MIGHT be a butterfly, I'm not sure.

Ok well i didn't know it had to be clear, but they call that butterfly on aquabid, not that they're right either.

It doesn't have to be clear, butterflies are usually like the crowntail in the photo I linked. They may just being calling it a butterfly on Aquabid in hopes the title will lure people there to buy it.

Thanks !! My little CT is just a swimming, come to the front , interactive guy, and allot of fun. The DT spends allot of time suspended in one place with all his fins in a circle. lol
I thought maybe something is wrong, however, today when I came home he had built a nice BBnest. I've never had such a "boring " betta. lolol

Got him at PEtco. Had no intention of getting another, but he was in a bout a half inch of water, sorta on his side....
