Question Mr. Plant!

Hello to whom ever is reading this!

Okay so I went to Walmart and picked up some amazon sword plants. Well the plants were potted so am I supposed to remove them from the pot or just leave them in their pots and just bury the roots along with the pot? Hehe! Sorry I'm just new to owning aquatic plants. Thank you for reading and helping

I would remove the plant from the pot and the rock wool if that was used for the potting medium-you can even trim up the roots and any dead looking leaves too before you plant it....be sure to keep the crown of the plant slightly above the substrate for best results...when I plant swords...I cram the root ball into the substrate and then give it a slight upward tug to bring the crown above the substrate...its better to plant too shallow than too deep.....
Depending on how the sword plant was grown at the nursery....you may have normal die off of the leaves...so don't toss the plant....give it time to grow out its new underwater leaves...emersed-vs-submersed leaf
