My betta addiction is getting bad, lol. I drove 30 mins to a different Petco just to see they're bettas and I'm SO glad I did! First of all I just want to say.. Thank you to this forum and all of the information it provides because if we were to care for out bettas the way the petco employees tell us to care for them... they'd be dead. When I was picking out my new betta and employee approached me and asked if I needed help and blah blah blah, the coversation turned and we started talking about tanks and bowls. He told me you could keep bettas in small small containers and jars because they don't move that much and they don't like all of the extra space.. He then asked what size tank I was going to be putting my new betta in and I said I had a 2.5 gallon he then told me the betta would not enjoy it because they don't like space and I should get him something smaller.... Well guess what, I came home and put him in the tank and he swims SO much! He's so happy with all of the extra space he has! And I feel so happy that he's happy. :)
He's a black delta tail with a little bit of light blue on his body, and when he's all puffed up his fins have a little bit of white between them. He's SO cool! My boyfriend named him Batman lol.
I'm having a little bit of an issue with him eating. I tried pellets and bloodworms.. I'm thinking it's because he's still getting adjusted to everything. He's very very active though.
