Exclamation UPDATE: On Blue the betta. Any advice??

So if you need the whole back story, you can find it here: http://www.bettafish.com/showthread.php?t=87767

I thought he was doing better as he was moving around slightly more since being transferred into the clean hospital bowl and he did attempt to eat but now he seems to be breathing awfully heavy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can see the video of him here: http://youtu.be/wjhLul7aAKQ

Thank you!

I'm so sorry about your fishy. I have no advice but hopefully someone will have some help for him soon.

is the hospital tank heated and has tap water conditioner? anything added? My Nemphis had done this, when I first got him from a sick tank... in the store... And I immediately put him on AQ salt for the clamped fins, which went away soon. Clamped fins are usually a sign of external/internal problems, parasites included, cold or dirty water...

The water is heated and I used tap water with conditioner. His colors seem to slowly be getting better. I think I'm going to do a water change on his little bowl and add some salt to it. Should I do a 100% water change?

It may stress him too much. how big is the tank? But, if you add salt (dissolved first then added slowly, one tsp per half day), 100% daily for a 1 gallon.

It's about a gallon. I think I need to change it for ammonia purposes.

Ok for a one gallon do a 100% daily. Scoop him out with a cup - less stressful than a net anyways. Get him onto a low dose of AQ salt (one dissolved tsp added slowly)

For those that are sick and stressed, I usually siphon the water out with airline hose and siphon new water back in while leaving the fish in the tank. I usually leave just enough to cover them, and fill back up. Just a thought!
