normal, sop, wysiwyg

Give it three days then stick the carbon filter in.

Questions tho:
What water dechlorinator did you use?
What was your source of water?
Have you checked your hardness?
Are you doing fish-in or fish-out?
How thick is the rock bottom?
Are you running the light more than 6 hours?
If you're fish-in, is your load a boy or a sorority?

Cycling takes between 4-6 weeks minimum. The cloudiness you are seeing is Beneficial Bacteria blooming which IS good. Without it your tank cannot cycle and most if not all fish will die. Bettas can tolerate it, but it can cause ammonia spikes, which can burn the betta - and any other fish.
