please answer my question.

i asked one on my other thread, but no reply.

so my betta keeps zooming up & down the walls of his tank. looks like he's trying to get out. i went out for a couple hours, and he's still doing the same thing. also, the bottom half of his head/face became pale. i have no idea what he's doing but i'm getting worried. is he stressed or something?

Is your tank heated? They get pale looking when they're cold. As for the zooming, maybe he's easily startled. Does he have any hiding places?

i changed his water and made sure the water was heated.
when i fed him, he was doing fine. he wasn't going for the walls again. he also got his color back.

5 minutes later, he's going for the walls again. idk. i think he wants to get out. he was doing fine when i first got him though.

It might be parasites...
As for the black fins, you're treating him for fin rot right? That's what the AQ salt is for?

I'd PM Darkmoon or Myates and see what they say. They know more about parasites then I do. :)

I've heard that swimming up and down along the walls like that can be a sign of boredom (because I imagine if it were stress you'd be seeing other signs as well).

I understand he's being treated and you're doing daily water changes, but perhaps one or two more things in the tank for him to explore or whatever might make a difference? Or, depending on where he's kept, maybe being able to watch some activity will help as well. Worth a shot at least.
