Hey all, I'm working on my stocking fot my 29 gallon, but I can't seem to find a good filter. It has to be quiet, it's in my room, and it has to be AT LEAST 200 GPH. Peferably 250 GPH. Does anybody know of any good ones, other than sponge filters?
Oh, okay. You know, I have no idea how noisy or how quiet a canister would be. I'd recommend AquaClear because they are good filters, it's just that they're really touchy too. If you don't clean the impeller on a regular basis, it plays dead.
They're touchy. Very touchy. And to be honest, I hate them too. But so far I haven't found another filter as quiet as them. The Marineland Penguin filters are really great because of the Bio-Wheel but they're kind of noisy.
Most power filters aet. My Top Fin isn't too noisy, but it makes these vibrating sounds, and my best sense is my hearing, so that doesn't work very well.
