Confused yet again...

Ok so last month I had doubts about Hermiette's gender. I thought she could be a boy, due to her size and bubble nest building skills...she was also extremely aggressive.

Now the same dilemna pops up again. I see a beard? I will post a few pics, so please let me know what you all think!
I know some females have larger beards than most but shes just not acting like the females I usually have.

her beard

Her bubble nests (Large even after broken)

Her profile

She is being shy and not flaring.

I'm going to go crazy. I'm starting to think her name really suits her. or him... xD

I'm I just being silly? I never had issues like this, when it came to gendering bettas before.

she also behaves more like a boy...She constantly flares at her reflection and chases it. xD

Makes me want to say a boy.. I believe at first s/he was a girl.. but hmm... I see no egg spot.

Male beards tend to be much larger then a female's- so seeing her flare against another male you should notice the difference. Also, females will a lot of times flare with their head down, which males do not so that is another possibility to tell..

pardon the pic spam and the blurry ones...fast fish...

....really thinking boy....

There have never been plakats here....which is why she shocked me with her behavior...short fins are usually females here...Ive never seen an HM in person, nor a plakat before now...we JUST started getting CTs

With these pics, do you think she is a he and a plakat? I'm fairly certain of it now.

I was on the fence until I saw the last group, she/he reminds me of Nixon when he flares, looks like a monkey. I would guess boy after those last flaring pictures!

Hey... if you ever find another plakat, let me know! I'd pay you to send me one haha
